I am feeling a little overwhelmed with everything that I still have to do to get ready for the launch day of my website.  Having never made a website before it has certainly been a huge and rather steep learning curve that I have been on, particularly with the decision I made early on, to build the website myself.

Last night I was up until 1 am adding a video series called  “Learn to knit in 4 easy steps” to the art and craft page. I was determined to stay up until it was working successfully, so I am glad it didn’t take any longer because fatigue had begun to set in and my eyes were nearly falling out of my head by the time I had finally nailed it!  But oh, the joyful feeling of victory was sweet!

I’m really happy with the quality of video, the vibe of it and how clear and easy to follow the tutorials are (expertly presented by sheep and stitch). I hope that you will find it helpful if you are keen to learn how to knit.

I was lucky enough to be taught to knit at an early age by my adored Granny, but had I not had her to teach me (and video tutorials had been a thing back then) this would have been a great option for learning the skill.

My daughters are both keen to learn to knit this year and I was planning to teach them, but in all honesty, I don’t think I could teach it as well as these videos do.  But we will enjoy some ‘yarn and knit-sticks’ time together nevertheless. Excitingly, there is a new baby due in our family in July, so I might be knitting a wee baby cardigan.
