My Granny was always knitting and she made my sister and I lots of lovely woollies over the years and even dolls’ clothes and blankets. She taught me how to knit when I was quite a young girl. She was always so kind and encouraging and patient. I remember her calmly picking up all the stitches I had dropped on many occasions. Now my own daughters are keen to learn to knit. How I wish Granny was still here to give them the lesson and loving guidance she gave me.  In her absence, I will do my best to impart what she taught me to the next generation.  If I get stuck with the teaching the following videos, used with kind permission from Sheep and Stitch, will be a valuable resource. If you are feeling inspired to learn to knit I am sure you will find them helpful too.
